LET ME TELL YOU MINE...


I’M A FIRST-GENERATION GRADUATE OF AUGUSTANA COLLEGE, ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS. WHILE STUDYING INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS, I WORKED IN AUGUSTANA ATHLETICS FOR 3 YEARS AS A SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHER AND MEN’S BASKETBALL CONTENT INTERN.

MY LOVE FOR SPORTS STARTED WHEN I WAS ASSIGNED TO THE FIRST ROUND OF THE 2018 CCIW TOURNAMENT FOR MEN’S BASKETBALL WHILE WORKING AS A PHOTOGRAPHER FOR THE SCHOOL’S NEWSPAPER AUGUSTANA OBSERVER.


How I Got Involved in College Athletics...

Fast forward, I went on to take on the final round of the CCIW Tournament which led to the NCAA Tournament. I fell in love with the exhilaration and history of the program held from the athletes to coaches and hundreds of attendees packed in the Carver Center. Ultimately, I took the risk and made the decision to apply for Augustana Athletics the following year.

The Opportunities Sports Photography Have Gave Me...

Besides working for my college, I executed photography work with DIII schools like Wheaton College, Capital University, and SUNY Oswego during the 2019 NCAA Basketball Tournament. During the fall semester of my senior year, I studied and interned abroad in Sydney, Australia. I was placed with Sport NSW, and I produced various projects like creating graphics and running social media for events such as the NSW Championships of Sport Awards. With this internship, I traveled throughout Sydney to attend Active Inclusion Sports Days to promote inclusion and diversity in sports. Before leaving Australia, I created connections with Dulwich Newtown Basketball Club and MVP Basketball. I photographed various divisions to increase the clubs’ social media presence throughout Sydney, Australia.
